Vampire Diaries Star Kat Graham Is Teaming Up With T-Boz From TLC!

Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) may already be a successful TV actress, but she’s not stopping there. The Vampire Diaries star is also launching a music career — and she’s doing a pretty amazing job of it, too. Kat just announced that she will be performing with T-Boz from TLC. Check out the details!

“So this just happened!!!!” Kat captioned an Instagram image of a flier for her upcoming performance. “To purchase and to pre purchase the live stream in advance go to www.chideo.com The donations will benefit the Sickle Cell Anemia Support group @TheRealTBoz #TBoz#TBozUnplugged #TLC #1991.” The performance will be happening at L.A.’s The Grammy Museum, a site dedicated to the history and winners of The Grammy Awards, on Sunday, April 19th.

This isn’t the first time Kat has impressed us with her music industry connections. In February, she posted a photo of herself hanging out with R&B legend Babyface. She captioned the pic: “Look who came by rehearsals today!! Love this man.#Babyface #LegendaryInnovator @babyface.” Kat dropped her first new single in a few years, “1991,” in March. The track was directly sampled by TLC’s hit, “What About Your Friends.”

Kat told YouBeauty of the track: “I wanted to do something that incorporated this kind of old school vibe I’ve been always into. I love the 90s … The pop icons were Madonna and Janet and even Paula Abdul and these incredible women that could move. I mean they could really move and they were making this iconic music and they were all about, like, girl power. And I want to bring that back. I wanna bring back this kind of vibe that I really am at the end of the day.”

Given this sentiment, Kat’s team up with TLC’s T-Boz makes total sense!

Vampire Diaries fans aren’t the only ones saddened by Nina Dobrev‘s decision to leave the CW drama at the end of its current season.

During an appearance on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz on Wednesday, Kat Graham became the first TVD co-star to publicly address the exit, which was officially announced Monday on Instagram.

“It’s very bittersweet,” she admitted. “We’re all family, and you always want to stay together forever, but everyone has their journey, and all you can do is wish them well and support them. This was a decision that I know was made a long, long time ago. I’m just excited for her, and to see what’s next.”

Graham also promised a “cool, epic battle in the season finale,” so at least we know Season 6 will go out with a bang.

We’ve been awaiting new music from Vampire Diaries actress/model Kat Graham for a minute, and thankfully, Graham has returned with a new track from her forthcoming spring album. Check out “1991,” which is premiering exclusively on Billboard.com:

Produced with longtime collaborator Jean-Yves “Jeeve” Ducornet, “1991” is a New Jack dance track that clearly evokes the year in its title. Graham describes her as-yet-untitled album, which is set for an April release, as also carrying a “throwback” sound, with main influences including TLC, Boyz II Men, Blackstreet and Prince.

“I spent most of my time in music– at least for the songs that garnered attention– singing other people’s work,” says Graham. “I want to be honest about that because I am finally doing what I’ve always wanted to do and making music that I’ve always wanted to make.”

The Switzerland native released her debut EP, Against The Wall, in 2012, and has worked with producers like Mitch Allen and Damon Elliott. Her 2013 single “Power” was also premiered on Billboard.com.

What does it take to be a top choreographer to the stars? A game-changing attitude, according to Laurieann Gibson.

Bonnie + Damon = BFFs 4ever!

In a new interview with ‘Life & Style,’ actress Kat Graham — who plays Bonnie on the smash hit The Vampire Diaries — admits it was a blast having her co-star Ian Somerhalder (the one and only Damon Salvatore) direct the cast on a recent episode.

“It was so fun! We work in a very similar way because we have the same acting coach,” she says about the recent experience. “We were already in tune with each other before we got on set.”

In fact, Ian proved to be an incredible teacher.

“It’s interesting because he knows me so well. He can tell if I can do better, so he was pushing me a lot on set to be better,” she tells ‘Life & Style.’ “He just pulled a lot of stuff out of me that a lot of directors who don’t know me as well can’t. It was really exciting to work for him. He was a natural.”

The 25-year-old triple-threat — who’s teamed up with Degree Women — also talked about attending her very first Grammys this upcoming Sunday!

“I’m just really excited to be around other music artists,” said Kat, who’s also launching her new single, ‘1991,’ on March 10.

Watch the beauty discuss her partnership with Degree, what she’s doing to get ready for the big show on Sunday and her favorite actor on the ‘TVD’ set below!
