Dec 4th: Joseph Morgan and Charles Michael Davis Talk THE ORIGINALS, Their Character Origins, Storylines and Relationships, and Bringing Their Characters to Life

Linda | Categories: Charles Michael Davis, Exclusive, Interviews, Joseph Morgan, Season 1, The Originals, TV Series | Comments Off on Joseph Morgan and Charles Michael Davis Talk THE ORIGINALS, Their Character Origins, Storylines and Relationships, and Bringing Their Characters to Life

Things have been heating up on The CW series The Originals, with family and friendship bonds being tested like never before. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), the original vampire-werewolf hybrid, and his Original vampire siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are more tense than ever, as Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) unborn child remains under threat from vampires, witches and werewolves alike.

During this exclusive interview with Collider, actor Joseph Morgan talked about how crazy his journey with this character has been, having started as a four-episode guest arc in Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries, how getting to further explore Klaus has changed his perception of him, whether the Klaus/Caroline relationship might get revisited someday, and what he thought of the pregnancy storyline when he first heard about it, while Charles Michael Davis (who plays Klaus’ vampire protégé Marcel) talked about how he came to be a part of the show, bringing a certain level of confidence to his character, and how impressed he is by the fast pace of the storytelling.

Aug 24th: ‘Vampire Diaries’ DVD sneak peek: Candice Accola sorts out Caroline’s connections — EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Jen | Categories: Candice Accola, Exclusive, Interviews, Season 2, The Vampire Diaries, Videos | Comments Off on ‘Vampire Diaries’ DVD sneak peek: Candice Accola sorts out Caroline’s connections — EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

orting through the maze of relationships and connections on The Vampire Diaries is a task best left only to professionals. Enter Candice Accola.

In this truly cute clip from extras on The Vampire Diaries: The Complete Second Season DVD, Accola is seen explaining Caroline’s complicated connections to her fellow Mystic Falls cohorts. Something about the clip sort of makes me wish I had more teachers like her in high school. I bet she could make the periodic elements sounds like a piece of juicy gossip.

Check out the clip below and wow with me at the nifty graphics, which remind me a little of what the Vampire Diaries version of Guess Who? would look like.

Aug 17th: First Look: The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Photo

Jen | Categories: Exclusive, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Photos, Season 3, The Vampire Diaries | Comments Off on First Look: The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Photo

First Look: The Vampire Diaries Holy Trinity Smolder in New Photo Shoot!

For a show that thrives on showcasing the dark sides of their characters (Klaus be crazy), seeing the three stars looking so angelic is a bit of a change for us.

Not that we’re complaining, because Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley look absolutely gorgeous in our exclusive first look at this Vampire Diaries season three promo shot. But the light clothes and sunshine-filled room is the opposite of the TVD atmosphere were used to, no? Perhaps season three will be more about happiness and high school fun and less about hearts being ripped out (physically and emotionally). Probably not, and that’s fine with us.

TVD, don’t go changing one bit.

Feb 6th: Kevin Williamson Joins CW’s ‘Secret Circle’, ‘Vampire Diaries’ Companion Show On Hold

Tracey | Categories: Exclusive, Kevin Williamson, Non TVD Projects, The Vampire Diaries | Comments Off on Kevin Williamson Joins CW’s ‘Secret Circle’, ‘Vampire Diaries’ Companion Show On Hold

EXCLUSIVE: First the bad news: Kevin Williamson’s potentialcompanion series to Vampire Diariesis not happening, at least for now.The Vampire Diaries co-creator Williamson has notified the CW that his busy schedule on Diaries, which he is executive producing with fellow co-creator Julie Plec, has not allowed him to focus on fleshing out and writing the new project, about a group of people who investigate paranormal happenings.

Now the great news. Williamson has come onboard another CW drama project, Secret Circle, which is based on a three-book series from The Vampire Diaries author L.J. Smith. It centers on a California teen who moves to her mom’s hometown of New Salem and discovers that she is a witch. To complete the reunion, the project hails from Alloy Entertainment and WBTV, the companies behind Diaries. It was first set at the CW in October with Angel alums Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain as executive producers and Andrew Miller as writer/exec producer. Williamson is now working on the script and serving as an executive producer on the project, which, with its auspices, has emerged as a strong contender for a pilot pickup. Just like with the potential Diaries companion, on which there was talk about Plec joining Williamson, while not currently attached to Secret Circle, Plec could come on board in the future.

Jan 21st: Exclusive Interview: Daniel Gillies Talks Elijah and His Pick for Klaus Role

Linda | Categories: Exclusive, Season 2, The Vampire Diaries, TV Series | Comments Off on Exclusive Interview: Daniel Gillies Talks Elijah and His Pick for Klaus Role

The Vampire Diaries’ Daniel Gillies recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly in depth about his character Elijah and his  possible future interaction with Jenna, who he thinks should play Klaus and what Elijah thinks of Damon!

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: All you really knew about Elijah when you auditioned was that he was an older vampire and incredibly dangerous. What did you bring to the character?
DANIEL GILLIES:
I didn’t want him to sound like an American. I remember thinking, I know that this guy’s been living in the States for a couple hundred years, but he’s probably somebody who travels to Europe frequently, probably speaks 10 or 12 languages, including some extinct languages. I wanted him to sound a little bit like Kelsey Grammer [laughs], if that makes any sense. I wanted him to sound like old money from the United States, because I also thought that it lent a weight and, dare I say, dignity to his character, without being too foppish or overly gentrified. I thought there would be a danger in him the more elegant he was. I didn’t see him as a grimacing, arch, mustache-twirling guy ever. I think that’s how some people might have seen him, and I think that was a mistake. I always liked those men who didn’t really do terribly much, but did an enormous amount of damage. He’s much more economical than most. I like the idea that he had economy of movement, of words, of action, of everything.
