Feel like you’ve been stuck in a spellbound tomb for 100 years, desperately thirsting for some Elena/Damon friends-with-vampy-benefits action? According to Julie Plec, you won’t be parched for much longer.
The executive producer of fangtastic CW drama The Vampire Diaries took some time out of her precious script-writing schedule to give TV Guide Canada a taste of what to expect from tonight’s deliciously titled episode (“Disturbing Behaviour”), which may just be the start of something serious for the much-shipped-about couple.
And if that wasn’t enough of a treat, she threw in some Stefan, Bonnie and Halloween spoilers too!

Oh, what a difference a year makes! Though we’ve been completely enthralled with the goings on in Mystic Falls, Virginia, for the better part of two seasons, the time period within “The Vampire Diaries” has lapsed only one year. (Hard to believe, right!?) Star Nina Dobrev can hardly believe it herself, telling us as much when she stopped by the MTV Newsroom recently to chat about her work with Puma’s Project Pink. She not only reflected on the changes for her character, Elena, but teased a bit of the upcoming action, as well.

Alice Evans is set to guest-star as the mother of the Original family on The Vampire Diaries, TVGuide.com has learned.
Evans, who notably played a young Eloise Hawking on Lost, will be introduced as Esther via flashbacks in Episode 8. As we previously reported, the character is as fierce and strong as Klaus (Joseph Morgan), but she’s more into protecting her family.
Evans joins other members of the original family, including Klaus, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekuh (Claire Holt).
Evans has also appeared on Brothers & Sisters.
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.

Oct 6th: The Vampire Diaries’: Kat Graham previews Bonnie’s return to the ghost town of Mystic Falls(video interview)
Jen | Categories: Interviews, Julie Plec, Katerina Graham, Season 3, Spoilers, The Vampire Diaries, TV Series, Videos | Comments Off on The Vampire Diaries’: Kat Graham previews Bonnie’s return to the ghost town of Mystic Falls(video interview)
We’ve spent the last few days singing along to Kat Graham’s newest song from her upcoming album (she’s offering a free download!), so it’s only fitting that tonight, Kat makes her triumphant return to “The Vampire Diaries” after being MIA so far this season. (Yes, we know we saw her briefly in the premiere, but that was product placement, not plot development!) Move over, Chance Harbor witches… our girl is back on Thursday nights.
“Bonnie returns from summer with the normal side of the family,” executive producer Julie Plec tells us — referring, of course, to the side of Bonnie’s family that doesn’t have a grimoire in every bathroom for some light reading. “Bonnie says ‘Boy, summer with the normal side of my family is like watching paint dry,’ and Caroline says, ‘Well, I’d give a lot for a normal side of my family right now,’ having what she’s just been through.”

Q. How did the release of your poetry book The Blue Sky Chronicles come about?
A. I met someone and the relationship that I was in before the one I’m in now, I wrote it literally. I kind of documented the mental process of falling in love and it was very interesting and I thought that my fans would get a kick out of it so I decided to release a poetry book.
Q. How is writing poetry similar and different to when you write songs?
A. It’s very different. With songs I feel this, kind of, responsibility and kind of a weight to appease the audience and to make sure people like it because I just want it to get heard, you know what I mean? I want to make it as universal as possible. With poetry I’m a bit more selfish with writing that kind of stuff because it really doesn’t concern me whether it sells or not because I’m not a professional author, I’m just doing it for fun, but I am a professional recording artist so, you know, we feel like this sense of weight in the recording industry because of where it’s at right now and because we need to have the most happening and, you know, kind of eclectic song out there, so, that’s how it’s different for me.
