Oct 27th: ‘Vampire Diaries’ Star and Wife Treating Fans to Dinner For a Good Cause

Jen | Categories: Charity, Events, Non TVD Projects, Paul Wesley | Comments Off on ‘Vampire Diaries’ Star and Wife Treating Fans to Dinner For a Good Cause

Calling all ‘Vampire Diaries’ fans; you have the opportunity to eat dinner with Paul Wesley! The best part is it’s for a good cause.

Wesley, known for his role as Stefan, the new bad boy vampire on The CW, is one of the newest volunteers for Global Roots, an organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children in areas of famine and social unrest, along with his wife actress Torrey DeVitto. Her name may sound familiar as she is widely known for her role as crazy ‘Nanny Carrie’ on ‘One Tree Hill’ and as Spencer’s sister on ABC Family’s hit series ‘Pretty Little Liars.

Both have recently become huge supporters of Global Roots and are now giving away the chance for two lucky winners to eat with them at a fundraiser dinner on April 2012 in Los Angeles.

Jen | Categories: Casting News, Dawn Olivieri, Non TVD Projects | Comments Off on ‘Vampire Diaries’ Actress Books ‘Missionary’ Indie Film (Exclusive)

Dawn Olivieri will play a single, thirtysomething mother in the drama.

The Vampire Diaries actress Dawn Olivieri, who played Andie on the CW drama for five episodes, has booked a role in the independent film Missionary.

Olivieri, who can next be seen in the upcoming Showtime comedy House of Lies opposite Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, will play Katherine in the project, which is written and produced by Scott Poiley and Bruce Wood. Anthoyn DiBlasi will direct the film. Poiley, Wood and DiBlasi worked together on Cassadaga, which stars Kevin Alejandro.

Missionary revolves around a young missionary from the Church of Jesus Christ who has skewed God’s instructions in his efforts to win the affections of a married woman he feels should be his wife and soulmate for eternity.

Olivieri’s character is a beautiful, thirtysomething blue-collar mother who has an 11-year-old son. Katherine, separated from her husband, meets the missionary and becomes emotionally vulnerable. Their relationship turns dangerous when she discovers the man is unstable.

Olivieri, who has appeared mostly in TV shows like Heroes, Californication and Rules of Engagement as of late, is repped by APA and Mosaic.

Oct 26th: Green Giant! The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder Wins a Huffington Post 2011 Game Changer Award

Jen | Categories: Charity, Ian Somerhalder, Ian Somerhalder Foundation | Comments Off on Green Giant! The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder Wins a Huffington Post 2011 Game Changer Award

The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder (Damon) is a winner on so many levels. He’s got brains, brawn, and a mantle lined with his many awards. The Louisiana native can add one more honor to his résumé: He was just named one of Huffington Post’s 2011 Game Changers.

The award honors people who “are changing how we look at the world and the way we live in it” with a “willingness to take risks and question the status quo.” Awards were handed out in 12 different categories, from Business and Tech to Style, and Ian nabbed the top honor in the Green category.

If you know anything about Ian’s off-screen life, this probably comes as no surprise. After creating his own environmental organization —The Ian Somerhalder Foundation — testifying before Congress for animal rights, and mobilizing thousands of fang girls and boys to raise money for animal shelters just this year, we can’t think of anyone more deserving of the title!

Congrats, Ian!

Oct 26th: Why Mason Is Back On ‘The Vampire Diaries’ — Inside Scoop!

Jen | Categories: Season 3, Spoilers, The Vampire Diaries, TV Series, Videos | Comments Off on Why Mason Is Back On ‘The Vampire Diaries’ — Inside Scoop!

Uncle Mason is back on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, and CLevverTV has the breakdown on how and why this could be going down. I’m Joslyn Davis at our Hollywood headquarters with the latest out of Mystic Falls — aka the town where when you die, you can always come back to life…Or, at least that’s what it seems these days. First it was Vicki and Anna and now, in a huge and very shocking twist, Uncle Mason has returned, and he definitely has it out for his killer, who in case you missed it, was Damon. IN a new clip making the rounds, we see Damon chatting with Caroline and Bonnie, and he basically tells Bonnie that since she’s messed with the natural order of things, Mason Lockwood has somehow come back to life. To make matters worse, Mason can also make physical contact with the living, and Damon says that Mason chains him to a chair and shoves a hot poker in his chest. In Damon’s words, when he kills someone they’re supposed to stay dead. Then he tells Bonnie to fix it. There you have it — Mason Lockwood’s ghost is making a return and at this time it seems as though his primary goal is revenge. If you want to check out the brand new clip we’re talking about and see a ton of photos from “Ghost World,” which will air this week, click the link and head over to CLevverTV.com. I’m Joslyn Davis reminding you to follow @ClevverTV on twitter for on-going scoop on all things TVD. Thanks for stopping by and we’ll catch ya later!
