“Poor Tyler.” Anytime The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec uses the word “poor” in front of a character’s name, fans know they’re in for a good episode. It usually means bloodshed. “Blood or heartache. One of the two. Sometimes both,” Plec says. What’s in store with tonight’s midseason finale (The CW, 8 p.m. ET), which finds Klaus back in Mystic Falls and Damon, Elena, and Stefan hoping that his abusive father figure Mikael can kill him and free Stefan from being Klaus’ wingman and Elena from being his hybrid-making blood donor? Here are a few more teases from Plec and Michael Trevino (a.k.a. Poor Tyler):

“We open up the episode with Stefan making the call to get Klaus back to town. The way in which he’s able to successfully do that is actually part of the fun of the beginning of the episode,” Plec says. Translation: She will not be telling us? “Precisely,” she says……..

“The Vampire Diaries” Scenery Chewing, Gays in Mystic Falls and When We’ll See Some More Skin.

While it seems like the third season of CW’s addictive The Vampire Diaries just kicked off, it’s already time for the show to take a break after tonight’s episode, entitled “Homecoming.” The series will return in January, of course, but until then it may be hard for TVD addicts to survive without their weekly dose of throat ripping, complicated love triangles, magic spells and, of course, shirtless vampires and werewolves.

AfterElton recently grabbed a few minutes with The Vampire Diaries Executive Producer Julie Plec to get a few teases on what we’ll see tonight, if we’re ever going to see some gays in Mystic Falls and just when we can expect to see some more skin on the show.

AfterElton.com: I have to say that I love seeing Paul Wesley just chew the scenery up in the scenes as Stefan the ripper. Are you concerned at all about losing that if he goes back to being who he used to be or is that not even an option?
Julie Plec: I would be reluctant to make any proclamations but I would say that if Stefan is going to learn anything from this experience it’s that I don’t know that he can return to who he was because who he was was not actually a true representation of who he is.

Mystic Falls has been painfully bereft of everyone’s favorite werewolf-turned-hybrid for the past two weeks, but thankfully, all of that is set to change with tonight’s action-packed midseason finale.

Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) has been one of the most dynamic characters on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ thus far, evolving from misunderstood jock to angst-ridden lycanthrope to his new position as Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) right-hand hybrid over the course of three seasons. Where he’ll end up next is anyone’s guess, but according to Trevino, it’s sure to be a compelling ride.

We caught up with the actor to get the scoop on Tyler and Caroline, his new bromance with Klaus and what fans can expect when ‘TVD’ returns from its two-month hiatus in January.

Proceed with caution, there are spoilers ahead!

Kat Graham Says Lady Gaga Has Come To The Set Of ‘Vampire Diaries’ [AUDIO]

“Vampire Diaries” is heating up the CW tonight with it’s mid-season finale. This will be the last episode before the show returns early next year. Taylor Kinney who plays the werewolf, Mason Lockwood, has been making headlines for another reason: His romance with Lady Gaga!

So, we were wondering has Mother Monster been to the set? Kat Graham, Taylor’s co-star filled us in. It turns out she’s a self-proclaimed Little Monster. “She has come to the set, but I wasn’t there. I think she would have fit in perfectly as a vampire and should have totally shot a cameo. So, whenever she wants to stop by again, the invitation is open,” Kat tells us.

I think Gaga playing a vampire might be too easy. She’s just about the only girl that could play The Creature from the “Black Lagoon” and make it totally sexy.

Tyler may still be under the spell of Original Vampire Klaus, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten how to party.

The official CW episode description for tonight’s mid-season finale of “The Vampire Diaries” says that Caroline and Matt are “shocked” by Tyler’s behavior throughout the night. Hollywood Crush caught up with Michael Trevino, the man behind the show’s first successful vampire-werewolf hybrid who doesn’t have an English accent, for a chat about “Homecoming” and beyond.

Michael dished to us about Tyler, Klaus, My Morning Jacket, Paul Wesley’s wife joining the show and whether Katherine is alive or dead. But first things first. “The homecoming dance is cancelled, so Tyler takes it upon himself—with Klaus—to move the whole homecoming dance to the Lockwood mansion,” Michael explained to us by phone. “He has a lot on his plate. He’s kind of taking commands from Klaus throughout the episode. Some of these decisions that are being made, and Tyler’s actions, are not pleasing to Caroline and Matt.”

‘Vampire Diaries’ targets ‘Twilight’ fans with sexy new trailer — EXCLUSIVE

The CW is going after the Twi-hards.

The network is launching a trailer to promote Thursday night hit The Vampire Diaries and new series Secret Circle specifically to Twilight fans. The promo will play in movie theaters before screenings of Twilight: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 for the first two weeks of the film’s release.

Though some Vampire Diaries fans look down on the sparkly Twilight vamps, the big-screen franchise has an enviously huge fan base. In the ad, The CW presents its shows as having the same supernatural elements of the Twilight films (vampires, werewolves, witches). But unlike watching Bella and Edward moon over each other, it rarely takes years of waiting around for CW characters to get amorous.

“Come for a bite …” teases The CW’s tagline. Viewers then see whipped cream on a vampire victim’s neck and a shirtless Ian Somerhalder. “… Stay for dessert,” the teaser concludes. Breaking Dawn opens Nov. 18 and about 50 percent of screenings nationwide will get the promo. Here’s an exclusive look:

#TVD With tonight being the last new episode of The Vampire Diaries until the new year, there was definitely a lot to talk about with Executive Producer Julie Plec about the goings on in Mystic Falls these days. Plec, always good at teasing the details without giving too much away to yours truly, touched on all the storylines driving the show’s third season including the triangle between vampire brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with the lovely mortal Elena (Nina Dobrev), the reason why some characters seem to disappear for episodes at a time and what exactly the arrival of Original family member Mikael (Sebastian Roché) means in tonight’s episode.

Joseph Morgan’s Having A Bloody Good Time

Joseph Morgan simply can not avoid being bathed in blood. Or, fake blood, rather, lest you think he’s some sort of off-the-clock killer. But his penchant for evisceration on-screen does give Joseph pause, as he jokingly wondered during our interview what that says about his subconscious.

Luckily fans have wasted no time wondering since our collective attentions are completely focused on the pair of performances he’s currently giving as Klaus, the original evil on Vampire Diaries and as Lysander, Immortals’ slave gone rogue. I caught up with the actor this week to find out what it took to get in fighting shape for the Greek God actioner, where tonight’s Vampire Diaries takes fans and when they can expect to see his favorite Klaus moment, to date!

Read the full interview with Joseph, he talks about his new movie “immmortals” and of course the best show on tv “the vampire diaries! CLICK HERE TO READ ARTICLE
