Do your research, folks!

While filming, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose launched an epic prank war on each other. Eventually it turned so intense that neither star wanted to leave her trailer, but ultimately work would call. One day Rose innocently decided to up the ante on their prank war by hiring a Taylor Swift impersonator to serenade the Vampire Diaries alum on set, but it didn’t end well.

“She hired an impersonator to come to our set and sing to me and bombard me in my trailer, but what she didn’t know was that the girl hired to do this was actually a huge fan,” Dobrev, appeared alongside Chris Hardwick, recalled on The Late Late Show Thursday. “She got really nervous and in the middle of it she hit her head and started bleeding.”

Kevin Williamson (Executive Producer)

“I’m most proud of the cliffhanger [at the end] of season 1. I remember sitting in the room and Julie’s like, ‘No, Damon and Elena have to kiss. That has to be the cliffhanger. Don’t you remember Dawson’s Creek? You’ve got to do it.’ And I’m like, ‘No, they can’t. You cannot.’ We were already fighting about Elena being with Damon or Elena being with Stefan.”

THE STORY BEHIND NINA DOBREV’S MAJOR HAIRCUT

Author: Jen | | Comments Off on THE STORY BEHIND NINA DOBREV’S MAJOR HAIRCUT

Filed Under: | Interviews, Nina Dobrev, Non TVD Projects

Behind any drastic haircut, there’s typically a story that inspired the change. Perhaps it’s a new job and a fresh start was needed. Maybe it’s a breakup—a sweet new ’do to match that newly single life. For actress Nina Dobrev, it was kind of a little of both.

No, the star didn’t just end things with some Hollywood heartthrob. She isn’t quitting the industry, either. Rather, Nina’s *officially* saying goodbye to a large chunk of her life—The Vampire Diaries chunk, once the show ends this year—and diving headfirst into her new career as movie star (she plays Becky in the new film XXX: Return of Xander Cage). Naturally, a switch-up was called for.

The Originals Showrunner Exits; TVD’s Julie Plec to Take Over If Renewed

Author: Jen | January 14, 2017 | Comments Off on The Originals Showrunner Exits; TVD’s Julie Plec to Take Over If Renewed

Filed Under: | Michael Narducci, News, The Originals, TV Series

The Originals showrunner Michael Narducci is exiting the CW series, as he leaves Warner Bros. Television for a new two-year deal at ABC Studios.

Production on The Originals Season 4 (premiering Friday, March 17) has already wrapped. If the series is renewed for Season 5, Julie Plec will return to seize the reins, since The Vampire Diaries will have ended.
Narducci “got an opportunity he couldn’t pass up,” Plec told THR, which broke the news. “He has been a brilliant partner and friend and I’m going to miss him desperately.”

Narducci has been a part of the Vampire Diaries-verse since late Season 2 of the original series, when he served as executive story editor. He was upped to co-producer for Season 3 and has been a full executive producer at The Originals since Season 2.
