The nominees for the 16th Annual Young Hollywood Awards were announced Thursday, with “Divergent,” “22 Jump Street” and “The Fault in Our Stars” among the titles vying for Favorite Flick honors, while “Pretty Little Liars,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Orange Is the New Black” face off for the title of most Bingeworthy TV Show.

“Hunger Games” stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth compete in the Fan Favorite Actor categories along with Variety cover stars Aaron Paul and Allison Williams.

The 2014 ceremony will air for the second consecutive year on the CW network on at 8 p.m. ET/PT July 28. Kelly Osbourne will host the ceremony in Los Angeles.

The announcement was made by Jay Penske, founder, chairman and CEO of Penske Media Corp., owner and executive producer of the award show. (Full disclosure: Penske Media Corp. is the parent company of Variety.)

“We’re thrilled to see the Young Hollywood Awards, now in its 16th year, continue to ascend to its biggest show ever,” Penske said. “And to again be partnering with the CW, which is a preeminent TV destination for young talent to launch their careers, is more than fitting for the show’s propensity for being the first to debut current emerging talent at the start of notable careers.”

The event honors the accomplishments of the entertainment industry’s rising young stars from the worlds of television, music, film, fashion, sports and social media. Fans can vote online in the categories of Fan Favorite Male and Female Actor.

The full list of nominees for the 16th annual Young Hollywood Awards are:

Jun 18th: Paul Wesley and his Grandfather work on PSA together about Polish Heritage

After stepping behind the camera to oversee an episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 5, Paul Wesley is following up his directorial debut with yet another meaningful project. This time around, the talented actor is working on a public service announcement about a subject very close to his heart — his Polish heritage. And just in case that news doesn’t have you grinning from ear to ear, the situation gets even more endearing: the PSA will feature an interview with his beloved grandfather, who lives in Warsaw!

Towards the end of May 2014, the TVD star — clearly excited to be honing his directorial skills while spending time with his relatives — posted an announcement to his official Twitter page discussing his involvement with the project. “Very excited to be directing a PSA for Welcome.us – Check out the site and stay tuned for Immigrant Heritage Month this June,” he stated, before sharing photos of his adventures abroad.

Aww! How sweet is it that he cast his grandpa in the video? We wouldn’t expect anything less of such a stand-up guy, and honestly cannot wait to see what Paul churns out. For those of you who are unaware of this fun fact about the 31-year-old leading man, his last name is actually Wasilewski. He changed his surname while starting out as an actor — but he still maintains a strong and commendable connection to his Polish roots. (Psst. He’s even fluent in the langage. Swoon!) And sure, we may be jumping the gun here, but we have a feeling that whatever he produces will end up be a amazing, poignant tribute to Poland and the beautiful country’s rich history and culture!

– Unknown Author

The Season 5 finale of The Vampire Diaries finds Mystic Falls taken over by Marcos and the Travelers. Bonnie races against time to prevent the Other Side from imploding. Damon’s explosive plan to rid the town of Travelers results in both triumph and tragedy.

As the episode opens, a dead Stefan (Paul Wesley) is lying on a couch in the Salvatore home with Caroline (Candice Accola) crying beside him. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) run into the room and are shocked by what they see. Caroline tells them she brought him there because she couldn’t leave Stefan outside and asks repeatedly if Bonnie has a plan to bring him back from the Other Side. Damon and Elena don’t answer her. Damon mumbles about getting him back and then suggests they get Stefan away from prying eyes, and covers him up in a blanket.

Stefan, is watching them from the Other Side, looking concerned. All of a sudden, the wind that takes people into oblivion, starts up and tries to drag Stefan away, but he tries to hang on to anything he can grab. As he clings to a wall post, a female hand grabs his. It’s Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) and she pulls him off the post and to safety. She tells Stefan now that she’s saved him from metaphorical darkness and actual darkness, he now owes her a beer (Ghosts drink?).
