Bonnie’s absence on The Vampire Diaries has been quite convenient for her boyfriend Jeremy, who won’t be able to hide the secret that he sees dead people (i.e. ghosts, not just undead vampires) from her much longer.

“A couple months have gone by and he hasn’t ‘fessed up to it,” executive producer Julie Plec says. “At what point did it become not wanting to let her in on something and when does it shift to an out-and-out lie?”

Watch this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite for more insight into the consequences of Jeremy’s supernatural dilemma.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Video Preview: Who’s Bill?

After a crazy start with Stefan getting violent by killing Damon’s pet girlfriend Andi, The Vampire Diaries season 3 is only going to get hairier. In the second episode, “The Hybrid,” Elena tries to track down Stefan over Damon’s objections, leading her on a werewolf hunt with Alaric.

Check out this clip from the second episode of The Vampire Diaries season 3.

In addition, executive producer Julie Plec explains what’s going down in this episode, particularly with Tyler’s mom and were shocking reveal at the end of the premiere that she knows that Caroline is a vampire, incapacitating her with vervain darts. Here we see that Mrs. Lockwood calls up “Bill” for some help with her vampire problem.

Who is Bill? Well, we know he’s the character who’s going to be played by Heroes star Jack Coleman and he’s obviously quite familiar with Mystic Falls and the Council since he’s the man Mrs. Lockwood goes for vamp help. It’s also possible that he’s Caroline’s previously unseen and unnamed gay dad, which, if true, would cause some big problems for the Forbes family, especially since Sheriff Forbes already knows all about it and is actively working with Elena to help her find Stefan.

Regardless of Bill’s exact role or relationship to Mystic Falls, anyone who Mrs. Lockwood calls in to help her with Caroline can’t be good for the town’s vampire population.

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8pm on the CW.

Get ready for Flashback Stefan in the September 29 episode of The Vampire Diaries, entitled “The End of the Affair”. The awesome season 3 premiere of The Vampire Diaries last week showed us that we’re dealing with a very different Stefan. He’s clearly trying to hang on to some of his humanity (like when he called Elena at the end of the episode), but it’s clearly tough for him to do so.

‘Vampire Diaries’ EXCLUSIVE Still: Paul Wesley, Joseph Morgan Toast ‘The End Of The Affair’

You guys! It’s finally here! The season three premiere of “The Vampire Diaries”! Tonight! Okay! We’ll stop using exclamation marks! Right now!

We’re obviously a touch thrilled about reuniting with Elena, Stefan, Damon and the rest of Mystic Falls’ supernaturals (and the ones who love them). And we’re pretty sure you are too. So as a treat to you loyal “TVD” watchers, we begged, pleaded and prodded for this exclusive: a super-fresh still from the season’s third episode, “The End of the Affair.”

As you can see, newly bad boy Stefan (Paul Wesley) and eternally evil Klaus (Joseph Morgan) are sharing a drink and perhaps hatching some villainous scheme while looking as broodingly sexy as ever. Though, we’re pretty sure the setting for this little tête-à-tête isn’t the Mystic Falls Grill—according to the episode’s official synopsis, Stefan and Klaus take their vampire sideshow to Chicago, where Mr. Salvatore reunites with a former love (played by “Pretty Little Liars” actress Claire Holt). What exactly is Klaus toasting here? Our upcoming nuptials to Ian Somerhalder, perhaps?
