May 4th: Exclusive: Interview with The Originals’s Chase Coleman

Natalie | Categories: Chase Coleman, Conventions, Creation Entertainment, Exclusive, Fan Experiences, Interviews, Season 1, Season 2, The Originals | Comments Off on Exclusive: Interview with The Originals’s Chase Coleman

Chase Coleman recently captured interest as werewolf Oliver on the hit CW show, The Originals. He then captured our hearts by attending fan conventions for the last few months. He’s a musician and has a blast with his fans. We are thrilled to have Chase answer a few questions for us!

Before getting into the interview, here are a few things you should check out about Chase:

Natalie: Chase, thanks so much for agreeing to speak with us. We know you as an actor and musician but can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Chase: I grew up in Louisiana and moved to NY when I was 21 years old to pursue acting professionally. I had a blast in NY for about 7 years working on many major prime time TV shows as well as many independent films and a few off Broadway plays. I moved to Los Angeles in January of 2013 and about a year later was offered the role of Oliver on the Originals. Beyond acting I’m a computer geek who loves games as well as building computers. I also love to play soccer and football.

Natalie: Did you always want to be an entertainer?
Chase: I knew I wanted to perform in some way or another growing up and getting in trouble in class because I was too noisy and rowdy making the other classmates laugh. 😉

Natalie: When did you start playing guitar and singing?
Chase: Around when I was 16, but I played off and on since then.

Natalie: Do you want to further pursue a music career?
Chase: ABSOLUTELY. Jared Leto is a huge inspiration to me, as a musician and actor, and his career is something I aspire to.

Natalie: What was your first paid acting role?
Chase: The actual first role of substance I think meant something to my career was the role of Garrett on One Life to Live in 2006.

Natalie: Can you tell us about your audition for The Originals?
Chase: The sides they give us to read for the audition are dummy sides, and they were actually sides from an old scene from The Vampire Diaries. They used those scenes to decide whether or not I had the qualities they wanted for Oliver in The Originals.

Natalie: If you weren’t an entertainer, what do you think you would be doing?
Chase: Probably something with computers or soccer. 😉

Natalie: Chase, do you have any causes or charities close to your heart?
Chase: Yes, actually right now I’m working with an amazing group of women who are my admins for my newly made organization, Army of Chase. We’re working with an anti bullying charity as our first choice, but we don’t want to list the name just now since we’re just getting started.

Natalie: Can you tell us a few of your favourites in film, music & television?

Chase: Films: Braveheart, The Saint, The Crow, Troy, A Single Man, Shame, Drive, The Believer, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, Somewhere in Time, The Place Beyond the Pines, Equilibrium

TV: Game of Thrones, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, American Horror Story, Heroes, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, The Americans, The Sopranos, Californication, Friday Night Lights, Friends, etc.

Books: The Shining, The Ethical Slut, Opening Up, Giovannis Room, Of Mice and Men, The War of Art, The Giver, Sex at Dawn

Music: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Dredg, Live, Filter, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, Mudvayne, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Chevelle, Disturbed, Godsmack, Third Eye Blind, CCR, Classic Rock, 80’S FUCKING ROCK, Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, James Horner, John Williams, Jeff Beal, Jeremy Soule, M83, Ramin Djawadi, Yanni, Abel Korzeniowski, Mark Isham, Harry Escott, Massive Attack, etc

Natalie: What is your dream role?
Chase: A role as a warrior in a Viking epic type film.

Natalie: Do you have any upcoming projects that you can tell us about?
Chase: Not yet… 😉

Natalie: You seem to have a great rapport with the fans. Do you have a message for them?

Chase has graciously recorded this special message just for you guys!

Natalie: Is there anything else you would like to say or share?

Video above 😉

Natalie: Chase, thanks again so much for speaking with us. It’s been an absolute pleasure!

Linda | Categories: Charles Michael Davis, Exclusive, Interviews, Joseph Morgan, Season 1, The Originals, TV Series | Comments Off on Joseph Morgan and Charles Michael Davis Talk THE ORIGINALS, Their Character Origins, Storylines and Relationships, and Bringing Their Characters to Life

Things have been heating up on The CW series The Originals, with family and friendship bonds being tested like never before. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), the original vampire-werewolf hybrid, and his Original vampire siblings Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are more tense than ever, as Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) unborn child remains under threat from vampires, witches and werewolves alike.

During this exclusive interview with Collider, actor Joseph Morgan talked about how crazy his journey with this character has been, having started as a four-episode guest arc in Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries, how getting to further explore Klaus has changed his perception of him, whether the Klaus/Caroline relationship might get revisited someday, and what he thought of the pregnancy storyline when he first heard about it, while Charles Michael Davis (who plays Klaus’ vampire protégé Marcel) talked about how he came to be a part of the show, bringing a certain level of confidence to his character, and how impressed he is by the fast pace of the storytelling.

This is a bit overdue but back in April, during TVD Chicago, I had the wonderful privilege and honour to interview Hannah and Hilly Hindi of the Hillywood Show.

I had a great time speaking with Hannah and Hilly and also got to know them a little bit. I have to say these are two of the sweetest young women you’ll ever meet. They are great convention hosts, are super friendly and are uber talented when it comes to putting together their awesome parodies.

Here is the interview. I hope you all enjoy it. This is our first, so please be gentle! 😉 lol! I’ve also added a few exclusive photos of Hannah and Hilly at TVD Chicago in this post.

Jun 26th: Kat Graham, ‘Power’: Exclusive Single Premiere

Jen | Categories: Exclusive, Kat Graham, Music, Videos | Comments Off on Kat Graham, ‘Power’: Exclusive Single Premiere

Kat Graham, the Swiss-born star of CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” is simultaneously forging a pop career on A&M/Octone, and has followed up tracks like “Put Your Graffiti on Me” and “Wanna Say” with her most cohesive radio offering to date. Check out “Power,” Graham’s new single, premiering exclusively on

listen to song here

“Power” is an empowering slice of electro-pop that allows Graham to recount the experience of “throwing all the pages of the past out the window” and find new strength in the form of a balanced romance. With pounding drums and a chorus that congeals into a rally cry, “Power” is fittingly epic for a showcase of lyrics that aim to inspire.

“The meaning behind ‘Power’ for me was to express that true power comes from within,” says Graham. “Someone can come into your life and unlock the door to your potential. For me, that was love, but it can be anything to anyone… It’s a song that starts off with the feeling like you’re just one of many, and someone forcing you to see that in the end, there’s only you.”

“Power” will be pushed to Top 40 radio, while the singer — who has collaborated with artists like and Snoop Dogg — will perform at the Kiss The Summer Hello concert for KISS 98.5 in Buffalo on June 29. Want more Kat Graham? Watch the music video for “Wanna Say” below:
